On November 18 Riga public transport will carry passengers free of charge
On November 18 Riga public transport (including minibuses) will run according to holiday schedules. The free public transport does not include minibuses, in which fare will have to be paid as usually.
There will be extra public transport runs on November 18 from the city centre until 00:00, so that passengers could go comfortably to the places where festive events will be held and back. There will be extra runs on tram routes No. 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11, on bus routes No. 2, 3, 11,12 (12/23/26), 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 41, 50, 51, 52 and 53, and on trolleybus routes No. 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 27. The schedule of extra runs will be available on "Rīgas satiksme" website at www.rigassatiksme.lv, at terminals, and also at public transport stops located in the city centre.
The night transport will run also in the night of November 17/18, and the fare will be LVL 1.00, as usually.
On November 18, after 13.00, during the military parade of the National Armed Forces, there may be public transport delays on those routes crossing Akmens Bridge, Aspazijas Boulevard, Raiņa boulevard, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Street, Bruņinieku Street.
During the fireworks, there may be public transport delays on those routes crossing Akmens Bridge. If during the fireworks this bridge will be closed for public transport traffic, bus No. 22 will run across Salu Bridge, public transport stop "Grēcinieku Street" will not be served, but public transport stop National Library will be transferred behind the crossing of Uzvaras Boulevard and Valguma Street.
On November 18, during the procession of the Latvian student corporations from the University of Latvia to the Brothers' Cemetery from 7:30 till 11:00, there may be short public transport delays on those routes crossing Raiņa Boulevard, Brīvības Boulevard, Brīvības Street, Cēsu Street, Mēness Street, Miera Street, Klusā Street, Brasa Bridge and Gaujas Street.
On November 18 the customer service centres of "Rīgas satiksme" will be closed.
